It depends on how you look at it: is it an activity itself, like watching a play, or the joy in performing the activity? Or maybe the company that comes along with performing the activity. For some, it could be the act of watching the activity together. It could be any of these at different times. A moment of shared experience. A surprise that brings the full joy of a connection.
Years ago, my young niece invited me for a coffee talk on her sunny balcony and we started sharing perspectives and possibilities. We discovered a shared interest in observing the world around us. It happened at random times, in person, or during a call, a video chat, or a book. One of the last authors my niece introduced me to, before she passed away, is David Sedaris. As I pondered and laughed at the stories in “Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk” I realized how much I miss my niece and our coffee talks. This site is an extension of those talks with something familiar or new, that decision is yours.
